Steadfast Work Intervention for Fragile Families is a dedicated program focused on helping individuals and families overcome employment barriers and achieve financial stability. We provide job training, career development, and family support services to empower those facing economic hardships. Our holistic approach ensures that participants gain the skills, resources, and confidence needed to secure sustainable employment and build a brighter future. Through workforce readiness, financial education, and community partnerships, we are committed to strengthening families and fostering long-term success.

SWIFFF is a dedicated, holistic program which provides Early Help support, Crisis Intervention support and Targeted work support.

These interventions use a strengths-based approach, offering practical support, advice, and connecting families with other services like counselling, financial support, or employment training. The goal is to improve family outcomes, prevent crises, and empower families to overcome their difficulties.

At Steadfast Work Intervention for Fragile Families, our mission is to empower families facing economic and social challenges by providing sustainable employment opportunities, job training, and comprehensive support services. We believe that stable work leads to stable lives, and we are committed to equipping individuals with the skills, resources, and confidence needed to achieve long-term financial independence.

Through personalized career coaching, skill development programs, and family-centered support, we strive to break the cycle of poverty and create pathways to success. SWIFFF is provides practical support such as:

  1. Assisting with day-to-day challenges, such as establishing routines for in the home; navigating school attendance difficulties.

  2. Skill-building: Supporting families to improve their skills in areas like positive communication, setting boundaries, or managing challenging behaviors.

  3. Emotional support: Providing emotional support and helping families cope with issues like mental health, grief / loss, or domestic abuse.

  4. Connecting to resources: Helping families access external support, which can include benefit applications, food banks, or specialised services like those for mental health such as IAPT or CAMHS.

  5. Family plans support and advocacy: SWIFFF can represent as one of the lead professionals who contribute to setting goals; monitor progress on Child in Need and Child Protection Plans. SWIFFF also supports families in professionals in meetings and advocates at court hearings.

  6. Personalised relationships: Forming and developing a working relationship with the families which builds trust thus enabling meaningful intervention for the work being undertaken with individual family members or as a family group.

  7. Empowerment: Helping families to help themselves by reflecting on their experiences and supporting them to make and sustain positive changes.

  8. Families with newborns needing help with early parenting and attachment.

  9. Families with teenagers facing issues such as relationship break down; external factors to the home such as varying forms of exploitation, risk-taking behavior, or poor school attendance and lack of boundaries in the home.

  10. Families struggling with specific problems such as mental health, respite care, financial difficulties, or addiction.
